Last Minute Brace Frustrates YoungGuns At Home

Saturday saw the YoungGuns take on Llanelli Town in an early midday kick off at Cwrt-Yr-Ala.

Isaac Berry's Post Match Interview

This weeks report is not difficult to write but one that is also frustrating. People turned out well for our early kick off. The players and staff would really like to thank those who attended. Also I’d like to thank our opposition who brought down a great set of fans to the game.
The first half was one that I felt we dominated from the beginning. However with 25 mins gone Llanelli Town managed to turn brilliantly on the edge of our box and score the first goal of the game. With us dominating the early stages we got straight back into the game with David Lyons stepping up to score our first goal of the season.
The players went out into the second half refreshed with a clear plan and ideas on how we wanted to play. With that Rameer Outlaw stepped up to score a scrappy goal to take us 2-1 up. Llanelli Town responded with making two changes and sending there central defender forward. This was followed up 10 minutes later through an over hit cross going in making it level at 2-2. With us defending well and the game at 65 minutes a sending off for us really changed the game. For the next 24 minutes every player run themselves into the ground only for Llanelli Town to score with what was basically the last kick of the game.
I’d like to reassure everyone connected with the club that we feel the same as you the fans do. We have adapted to life at this level well despite the results. This makes next weeks game against Taffs Well at home a massive one so early in the season. After speaking with the boss he as do I certainly feel that we have more than enough to turn this around. We cannot do it without the fantastic support you show us. Stick with us and the results are coming. #YoungGuns
See you next weekend.
